ACTUARIAL ANALYST
PERMANENT FULL TIME
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Actuarial Analyst is an entry level and full-time position.
The Actuarial Analyst will assist in providing advanced solutions for estate planning involving life insurance products. He will be responsible for consulting industry’s products and best practices. Furthermore, the candidate will also assist in enhancing products and developing creative solutions.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other quantitative-related disciplines.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Works well independently and in a team environment
- Detail oriented and high level of accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of life insurance products and tax implications
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VBA)
- Strong mathematical, analytical, problem solving and judgment skills
- Effective time management skills, including the capability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluently bilingual French and English
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing Excel tools improving services to brokers
- Assist with analysis on project initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement in product enhancements and development
- Solve complex problems by leveraging on analytical skills
- Provide support in the preparation and presentation of materials for clients
- Analyze market, industry, competitor, legal, and regulatory trends and use these to provide actionable insights that drive the business of both the company and its customers
